Department of Defense
How reliable are we? What credentials do we have?
The Department of Defense depends on OSI for support
You should, too.
We Support the Department of Defense (DoD) in the following ways:
Conferences and Marketing
A substantial portion of the OSADBU effort was to coordinate and produce conferences/symposia. OSI has organized and implemented multiple conferences/symposia of varying sizes, among which was The Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor Protégé Conference. This impressive conference was held at The Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City, with over 350 in attendance, consisting of DoD large prime contractors, small businesses and government personnel. Highlights have included keynote speakers such as The Honorable Edwin Meese III, 75th Attorney General and The Honorable Caspar W. Weinberger, Former Secretary of Defense.
OSI has also had the pleasure of coordinating the DoD Small Business Training (SBT) Conference, held in different locations throughout the United States, which brings in anywhere from 600-850 attendees.
The OSI team successfully orchestrated both conferences from cradle to grave for three consecutive years. In addition, OSI has provided a full range of marketing materials in a variety of different medias for the OSADBU.
Research and Development
OSI has been asked to support the DoD with Research and Development in many instances, including conducting a front-end analysis of “A” School operator and maintenance training requirements for the Global Positioning System (GPS). This analysis specifically assessed the feasibility of developing a generic interactive, computer-based lesson, which could be utilized for all DoD and commercial applications of GPS technology. A specific goal of this project was the definition of generic tasks and skills required by users for system operation/utilization, and OSI completed the task seamlessly.
At OSI, we manage and develop multiple high level IT & software development projects for the DoD. We are proficient in computer based training, web development, general purpose discrete-event simulation modeling, multimedia development, and IT/network support. OSI sustained excellent performance on serving government and commercial entities, successfully completing projects that include SBIR Phase I, II, and III competition for the Marine Corps’ V-22 Osprey program Advanced Training Technology Delivery System, DoD Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Websites, DoD F/A18 Interactive Courseware, DHS NFIRS 5.0 Self Study Program Courseware, and Accenture’s Magnet multimedia projects.
Web Design and Compliance
OSI had the honor of being asked by the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSADBU) to provide the OSADBU with complete IT/Network support, as well as web development & design support services. OSI not only redesigned their entire website, but we ensured it met with all government regulations (text only).
