Description: Works on overall project planning through maintaining and reporting on project schedules and deliverables. Coordinates preparation of internal and external reports through gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information from the Project. Prepares presentation materials for Financial and management reports. Ensures that program expenses are charged correctly, and if not research and provide reasons for discrepancies. Prepares monthly variance report with associated footnotes. Develops, designs and establishes reporting standards for the Project. Monitors program budgets by reviewing reports and program expenses to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified. Provides support to the Project Manager in planning, managing, and monitoring major projects from concepts through implementation. Assists with the preparation of a variety of reports covering budget status, forecast reports and other project management reports. Keeps track of active program budgets and ensuring that program expenses are strictly monitored monthly and that monthly expenses are on target. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Business Management and or Information Technology.
Required Experience: 5 years’ experience as a project analyst or lead. Equivalent combination of formal training and experience. Knowledge of all phases of the project management life cycle with a focus on project planning including Work Breakdown Structure and project schedule development, project change control, issue & risk management practices, and project documentation control. Understanding of Oracle Project (Primavera) Extensions. Working knowledge with most Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint). PMP certification (desirable). Strong organization skills including demonstrated tenacity for following up with team members and leadership on outstanding items. Strong general management skills and sound knowledge of business case development, fiscal planning and contract management. Ability to work independently and maintain a cooperative working relationships with peer groups.
