Title: Application Developer Level I

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Description: The UI developer will work with other application developers, and team members in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of quality software component modules and feature enhancements for application systems. The UI developer will be responsible for the design and development of the UI web-based development part of projects. The UI developer will have the ability to create excellent looking browser-based user interfaces and UI web solutions from the requirements stage to deployment onto the production web environment. The UI Developer will participate in object oriented design and using known development patterns and agile software development processes. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Participate in the development, testing and implementation phases of the software development life cycle. 2. Participate in logic and design discussions. 3. Develop, maintain, and debug new product features and enhancements. 4. Aid in development of improvements for existing processes. 5. Aid in product conversion to newer technologies. 6. Contribute to the review and analysis of new and revised business requirements. 7. Create, maintain, and present technical documentation of all code development. 8. Contribute in resource, technical, and risk assessments. 9. The UI Developer operates effectively as a member of the development team. 10. Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes. 11. Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality. 12. Responsible for the development of web applications and components. 13. Responsible for the design and development of web pages, graphics, multimedia, GUIs. 14. Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format. 15. Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate. 16. Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills. 17. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments. Secondary Responsibilities: 1. Assist in program installation, maintenance, and data recovery. 2. Prepare required documentation to include software application and user documentation. 3. Assist in the training of software administrators and users when required. 4. Assist other application developers as needed.
Required Education: Required Skills & Abilities: 1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field. 2. Experience in designing, marking up, developing the UI of websites and/or web applications. 3. Solid understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on maximizing usability. 4. Front-end skills and some basic understanding of how back-end development works. 5. Solid markup skills utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. 6. Practical exposure and/or experience with some: jQuery, JSON, AJAX 7. Styling:CSS 8. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Required Experience: Desired Skills & Abilities: 1. Net Framework 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 2. Internet Information Server (IIS). 3. Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005/2008/2010/2013. 4. Team Foundation Server 2008/2010/2013. Required Competencies: 1. U.S. Citizenship. 2. Ability to obtain government security clearance. 3. Good written and verbal skills. 4. Must be able to travel 10% time. 5. Ability to multi-task. 6. Ability to Analyze and problem solve. 7. Ability to receive direction and proactively resolve challenges and issues. 8. Self-motivated Desired Competencies: 1. Minimum of 2 years of web development and UI development experience is required.
