Title: Application Developer CAMITS

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Description: The Application Developer for Customs Automated Maintenance Inventory Tracking System (CAMITS) will work with other application developers, management personnel, and customers in the enhancement of new features, system troubleshooting, and maintenance of CAMITS. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Participate in logic and design discussions. 2. Develop, maintain, and debug new and existing product features and enhancements. 3. Develop improvements for existing processes. 4. Contribute to the review and analysis of new and revised business requirements. 5. Create, maintain, and present technical documentation of all code development. 6. Contribute in resource, technical, and risk assessments. 7. Develop and write software application program code within specified procedural standards. 8. Develop test programs and prepare test data to assure the correctness of program logic 9. Debug and troubleshoot current production code to assist in production program problems. Secondary Responsibilities: 1. Assist in program installation, maintenance, and data recovery. 2. Prepare required documentation to include software application and user documentation. 3. Assist in the training of software administrators and users when required. 4. Assist management as needed.
Required Education:
Required Experience: Required Skills & Abilities: 1. Demonstrated experience developing complex web pages using HTML, JavaScript & CSS. 2. Crystal reports. 3. AJAX / XML / CSV. 4. Object oriented programming experience (xBase, c#, JAVA, etc…) 5. TSQL experience. 6. Troubleshooting and de-bugging skills. 7. Visual Studio (asp.net MVC) experience a plus. Required Competencies: 1. U.S. Citizenship. 2. Ability to obtain government security clearance. 3. Good written and verbal skills. 4. Must be able to travel 10% time. 5. Ability to multi-task. 6. Ability to Analyze and problem solve. 7. Ability to receive direction and proactively resolve challenges and issues. 8.
